  4. I've said before that your Meditations have been a daily joy through Lent : and the Triduum brought them all together, into a sharp focus, culminating in the astonishing joy of the Paschal Vigil.

I've noticed that on fr Lawrence's Flickr site someone asked whether the Church shot was taken with 'available light'.

Well, it was - but the amazing luminosity of the Church on Easter night is no surprise to those of us lucky enough to have been there : it was a perfect metaphor of the 'Lumen Christi' which we were there to rejoice in. Someone came in late, next to me, and as he lit his candle from mine the increase in light wasn't just that one extra little flame - it was the one more joyous soul lighting up the Church.

I hope that everyone at the Priory of the Holy Spirit will continue to rejoice this week at the immense and Holy Preaching which you brought to all of us there. It was holy, and it was also mildly hilarious - as when fr Mark nearly set fire to the tree, and fr Ben nearly set fire to himself ! - but above all, it was (and you all were) joyful : the joy of our Risen Lord, Who was so obviously present in Blackfriars during the Vigil.

    Thank you all, for everything.

    Alleluia ! Alleluia !! Alleluia !!!

  5. So beautiful! I did not get to hear the Exsultet this year because people were so confused they went straight to the first responsory! I love this.
