I'm glad this isn't on any vocations posters, but today someone saw my cross and asked for an explanation of the difference between the orders. Naturally I mentioned the monastic tradition of the Benedictines, and the example of Christ-like poverty given by the Franciscans...but for some reason, the first thing I could blurt out about our own order was this:
"Well, I suppose the Dominicans are sort of heresy-busters".
Congratulations on the new vocations poster. It looks very well. It is always difficult to know how to 'pitch' a message, but this is very admirable. I hope that it will bear fruit.
It's a great poster. If a Dominican accompanied it to the odd parish or two, it might bear even more fruit! Seriously, I think your website must be helping a lot of young people who are trying to discern their vocations.

I had a giggle.. and then, seriously, there is a real need for "putting things straight" (OK have it your way, heresy busting).
