Dear Robert, do not be disappointed for surely where God's people face He too is there looking 360'! Now to my own 'constructive critisim' - these photos are wonderful in capturing the occassion but there are VERY FEW that show 'the people' (as Robert mentions) present. Is a Priest not there for all people and not just there for his (being male of course) fellow priests?
John I agree! We are blessed with this humble and unassuming man as our Arch. He has so many talents but yet boasts of none. Like yourself when it comes to the field of music! Some of us think we have the 'gift' but we only fool ourselves.
The priest is there to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. And therefore to worship and give glory to God. Not for the benefit of the people. The Holy Mass is the greatest form of prayer. The people are there to pray the Mass with the priest. Think of the vertical, not the horizontal. Remember Christ will come again from the East. When we are buried are feet face East so that when Christ returns and we rise, we will also face East. Hence Easter!. God Bless!. And God Bless all the new priests. A great day for the Dominican Order indeed.
