I live with Fr. Antoninus here at St. Albert's Priory in Oakland, CA and can attest to his enthusiastic spirit. He and some of the other friars have been very excited about this ministry. The witness "value" of this work is quite tremendous.
What a wonderful and fun ministry. Fr. Tony is correct; people want to connect with God and faith, but our society puts up walls that distract and confuse. Our son is studying to be a Dominican and all my friends and colleagues are fascinated with his work, many are not Catholic. I hope we see more Dominicans, more priests, out in the consumer marketplaces giving, not selling, what truly matters.
