Having now read Fr Leon's article as well as the one on Godzdogz, I am beginning to understand the nature of the Pope's invitation. This last article, particularly, will help me when discussing the subject with my Anglican friends who have been somewhat taken aback by recent events. Their view has been that one of the strengths of Anglicanism has been that is it such a broad coalition, and the loss of the catholic faction will strengthen the hands of the (their words) "odder tendencies."
